Jordi Alba announces his retirement from professional football
The decorated Spanish defender joined Valencia CF at the age of 18, the Club where he grew and was given the opportunity to make his LALIGA debut
Christian Oliva made his first start for Valencia CF in the 1-0 defeat to Levante UD, and spoke about the game following the final whistle.
"It's a pity not to be going home with the win. We came here to win. The attitude was there for us, but what we lacked were clear chances on goal," he told VCF Media.
"We weren't able to maintain balance. What we are missing is creating clear chances on goal. We had very few tonight. We also need to control possession better, but at least our attitude was there. That's the only thing that we can underline."
Oliva was able to feature in the starting XI for the first time since joining the club in the winter transfer window, and he said that "I feel very good. I've hadn't played as a starter in a month, and I feel fit."
"Now we have to focus on Granada. We'll be looking ahead to that game from tomorrow, and focusing on winning it."
